In response to the COVID-19 health pandemic, the El Paso Fair & Events Center staff are working hard to keep you all connected to the upcoming 115th El Paso County Fair. We are optimistic that the current COVID-19 crisis will be resolved and we enthusiastically continue to plan a great Fair!

Easter Bunny Cut Up Cake

Create your own Easter Bunny Cake!

Supplies:

1 box of your favorite cake mix and white icing
2-8 inch cake pans
1 bag Easter M&M’s
1 bag Jelly Beans
Sugar sprinkles (white or pink)

Baking:

Prepare your cakes in the cake pans as directed on the mix or cake recipe you are using. After they are finished baking, allow to cool for 1 hour. After the cakes are cooled, turn 1 of the cakes(bottom up) on a plate, cover and place in the freezer for 1 hour.
Lay the round cake that is not frozen, flat side up, about 8 inches from the bottom of a 24″ cake board (you can also use cardboard lined with aluminum foil or wax paper. Ice this cake.
Either draw free hand the shape of the ears and bow tie out of the second cake or use the edge of the round cake pan as your guide (I use the edge of the round cake pan as my guide).
Add the “bow tie” and “ears” to the board and ice them with the white icing.
Use your M&M’s, Jelly Beans, sugar sprinkles and leftover icing to decorate the “bunny”! Be creative, make it your own. It doesn’t have to be perfect, that’s what makes it yours!

Face Mask Instructions

Create lots of cute bag puppets and put on a show for your friends and family. Use your imagination and make all kinds of puppets from bags. What You'll Need:

Small lunch bag
Markers
Scissors
Pink and black felt
Craft glue
Brown buttons
Black construction paper

How To Make a Bag Puppet:

Step 1: Design a hound dog. The bottom of the bag will become the top of the dog's head.

Step 2: Color big spots on the bag.

Step 3: Use the crease of the bag for a mouth. Cut out a pink felt tongue and glue it inside the crease.

Step 4: Glue 2 brown buttons for eyes. Add some fringed black construction paper for eyelashes.

Step 5: Cut 2 long ears from black felt. Glue an ear to each side of the bag.

Put on a show, and have your puppet sing "Hound Dog."

Rainbow Spaghetti

Rainbow spaghetti for dinner tonight, the kids were most impressed!
• Cook the spaghetti as per normal cooking instructions.
• Once it is cooked I divided it into separate bowls, along with the cooking water so they stay hot.
• Add food coloring.
• Leave in the bowls until they are the desired color.
• Rinse and serve..
